our design intern

Zoe here, intern extraordinaire at Of Myth + Muse. I work directly with designer and owner  Emelia Natalicchio.

I am a music and movie buff with an extreme love for fashion. I grew up in Sugar Land, TX and I'm a senior Fashion Merchandising student at Texas State University. Growing up I have always been active. I played soccer and was a competitive dancer up until I graduated high school. My family is everything to me. I would not be where I am right now if it wasn't for their constant love and support so thanks fam! Shoutout to my tortoise shell kitty, Josie! (named after the Josie and the Pussycats movie) She is my baby!

Let me tell you a little back story about why I love fashion and how my passion for it all started.

When I was as young as a preschooler I would change into multiple outfits a day depending on my mood....thanks mom and dad for letting me wear fairy wings to the grocery store! Growing up I was always very particular with my outfits and would not go to school until they were just right. It wasn't until my high school grad party that I knew I was making the right decision in choosing a career with fashion. On the dining room table was a bunch of school work that my parents kept over the years and on multiple school papers I had to write what I wanted to be when I grew up, and it always had something to do with fashion. There was a also bunch of sketches I made (god-awful) when I was a little girl of outfits, shoes and what makeup would go with that particular sketch. I had no recollection of creating those designs or even saying that I wanted to work in the fashion industry that young. While flipping through those pages I realized...THIS IS MY DREAM AND IT'S TIME TO MAKE IT A REALITY!

Since then I have been a fashion merchandising student and have gone to NYC for a Study in America course with fellow FM students; to gain knowledge of the industry and make connections with key fashion industry leaders. After college I hope to be a trend forecaster and live in the big apple for a couple years to better understand the industry. And what aspiring fashion trend forecaster doesn't want to live in the fashion capital of America?

Well that's it for today my beautiful babes! Thank you to anyone reading my first post! Many more to come! (:

Love Y 'all.
